Students - Medical and Nursing

The availability of medical student placements varies from Base to Base.  As student placements (where offered) are limited, a waiting list may exist and preference may be given to students studying at Australian Institutions.

Each individual Section should be contacted to investigate the opportunities available for student placements and recruitment.

The RFDS welcomes the involvement of students and encourages the emphasis of the curriculum on rural, remote and Indigenous health and multidisciplinary practice.
