Volunteering
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia counts on volunteers to minimise our administration costs and ensure that more of the fundraising dollar goes directly towards our primary mission of providing medical care to those who need it the most.
From setting up at Open Days to staffing RFDS stalls at shows, to hand packing the mail and giving talks to local communities, our volunteers help us keep costs down and productivity up.
For more information on how to become a volunteer with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, please see the our Contact Us - Volunteers Enquiries page.
Thanks to our volunteers
Special thanks to the RFDS volunteers whose tireless efforts on our behalf enable us to minimise fundraising costs. Thank you to all for your dedication and commitment.
Thanks also to the Service’s volunteer speakers who give up their time to speak on behalf of the RFDS to community groups.
We are also very fortunate to have dedicated groups of Auxiliaries and Support Group fundraisers, who each year organise many and varied events. And last but not least, thanks to the many volunteers who assist us at remote area health clinics.
